Lea is a socially responsible artist, and believes that everyone deserves access to the arts and their own creative voice.
As Scottish Opera’s Education Artist in Residence in 2024/25 she undertook a season developing her practice as a socially responsible artist, creating The Small Magician, a trauma-aware vocal education resource. This resource is fully accessible, free at point of use, and thoroughly researched. During her time as Education Artist in Residence, Lea was also lead artist in several projects for children and young people, including The Giants Harp (directed by Emma Doherty) , Built On The Clyde (premiered with 300 participants from primary schools for Glasgow 850), and workshops in collaboration with Glasgow Create. She has facilitated workshops in collaboration with Valentine Voice Care, Scottish Opera, and Queen Margaret University for the general public, community groups, and healthcare practitioners.
She has completed training from Clean Break, is a member of the Singing for Health Network, and is a trauma-aware holistic vocal educator.
In June 2026 she gives an interactive talk at the Eden Festival, where she will explore the internal landscape and the ways that voice-work and play can be our greatest ally in self actualisation.
She is available for private tuition and consultation (in person and virtual), workshop facilitation, and presentations.
